1. DESCRIPTION

gnuA7 is the 2023 version of the gnuA, the fun and easy paraglider. Model 7 uses 33 cells instead of 29 used in gnuA6, and the successfull gnua airfoilt continues set to 18% thickness, keeping the same moderate aspect ratio (4.3). Initial calage set at 33% according recent experiences in similar models. Lines distributed in a not usual, but strong, 4-5-4-3 configuration in four risers and only two lines levels to simplify preflight preparation. Despite this lines configuration, the total length remains acceptable at 328 m (size 26 m2), due to the use of diagonal ribs, for the first time in the gnuA series. The angles with which the lines work are very favorable for the homogeneous distribution of loads, and the large number of lines at the lower level allows to reduce their diameter or prioritize structural strenght and durability. The four risers allow very precise ground handling control.

Despite its apparent simplicity, gnuA7 has been extensively studied in its details. The objective is to propose a very compact, stable and maneuverable wing, suitable for flying from small take-offs and landing in small fields with precision, with an outstanding performance in its category. In short, a wing for pleasure and fun. Designed using the latest version of our LEparagliding 3.21T software.

4. CONSTRUCTION

We don't have a gnuA7 prototype in flight yet..., but based on past experiences we're confident it will be a success.
I would like to remind you that the plans are freely available to private builders and companies, with or without modifications, for personal or commercial use

5. KIT THREE RISERS AND 2-3-2 LINES (size 26 m2)

Kit three risers
Optionally, and without modifying the wing structure and diagonals, it is possible to install a kit of three risers using a minimalist 2-3-2 line configuration.

LAB NOTE: Build a paraglider at home is a very complicated task (even simple skin), and requires many hours of work. Previous experience is required, and very inventive. As always remember that: The free flight implies risks that can only be known and they can be controled with a suitable formation on the part of a recognized school. Not test wings without knowing their functioning. The construction and test of experimental wings without certifying requires deep knowledge of what is being made.
