PARKER V3
ULTRALIGHT HARNESS

1. DESCRIPTION

Comments from designer Arnaud Martinez https://www.instagram.com/arno.mtz/

" Here are the files for the V3 Ultralight Harness. I named it Parker, after Peter Parker, because the prototype was red and I was often joked about Spiderman :)

For reference, this design is modeled after an adult of 183cm (6') and 80kg (176lb).

It is possible to make a kids version using a scaling factor of 80%

Kids size:

(White-blue) Latest version of the ultralight harness. This one is kid size (scale 0.8). Kid size weighs 98 grams.

The spider web is made of 1 mm 8 strands spectra fishing line. Regular dyneema paraglider line can be used too.

The straps are 12mm dyneema rated 800+kg. This part needs to be very strong. Nylon or polyester webbing can also be used, as long as the load rating is guaranteed.

For the fabric and web any machine can be used, but for the straps a stronger machine may be needed. I use a Singer heavy duty 4432 and make careful zigzag like pictured below."

LAB NOTE: Build a paraglider at home is a very complicated task (even simple skin), and requires many hours of work. Previous experience is required, and very inventive. As always remember that: The free flight implies risks that can only be known and they can be controled with a suitable formation on the part of a recognized school. Not test wings without knowing their functioning. The construction and test of experimental wings without certifying requires deep knowledge of what is being made.
